SYNOPSIS

On a warm summer's evening a group of friends are hanging out in the heart of the woods, no one in sight apart from them. However unbeknownst to them there is something stalking them closely in the shadows, waiting. Two lovers, James and Emily, go off together to find privacy, little do they know privacy would be the last thing they would get...

Ben Collier had amassed a cult-like following after the releases of his previous horror films “Yell” and “Dream On Oak Lane” but his latest release into his already critically acclaimed catalog has sent it and him to the next level. The Watcher begins with an immediate hook of tension and suspense, leaving the viewer’s imagination and fears to run wild. This critic was then disarmed by a sudden switch to a happier more tranquil scene disarming them for the later turn. Ben Collier has managed to perfectly blend the fine line of horror as well as cinematography leaving this critic to have no choice but to reward this project.

The Watchers' plot is well written and nicely paced keeping the viewer engaged throughout the entire film. The story takes many twists along the way which makes for a highly adrenaline-fuelled viewing experience. Overall, The Watcher is an amazing achievement in cinematography and a necessary watch for anyone looking for a true horror experience. The unique story and stunning visuals make this film an unmissable piece of cinema. The film manages to powerfully tackle the themes of love, loss and fear. The attention to detail in both the production and the filming really elevate this film to a cut above the rest. This critic personally cannot wait to see what Ben Collier produces next, and will be one of the first to see his next instalment.
